The picture of this puzzle was taken by us on Christmas Day 2020 when the Netherlands was in lockdown due to the coronavirus. Shops, bars and restaurants were closed and you could only find a handful of tourists in the streets of Leiden. We’ve both studied and lived/live here, so we know how fully alive this charming city normally is. Each street, bridge and building has its own identity and story. No matter the circumstances, this fascinating city will never lose its beauty.
