Dutch classes in classroom
The Survival Dutch language program focuses on conversation. The course is developed for absolute beginners and contains a combination of learning the language in a classroom and practicing your Dutch with the locals at the (super)market/in a bar or at another place where the Dutch come together. Dare to speak Dutch!
When you sign up for the classroom course, you will get:
i. a weekly class with a small group of fellow participants (5 weeks);
ii. a fieldtrip to a supermarket & restaurant to practice your Dutch with the locals;
iii. a digital workbook (included in each class);
iv. unlimited access to the exclusive Survival Dutch Academy account on Facebook, only accessible to members.

Dutch classes online
This online Dutch course focuses on daily Dutch conversations. The program is developed for absolute beginners and beginners plus who would like to learn a bit more about the Dutch culture as well and enjoy getting to know new people from all over the world. You will learn, among other things, how to introduce yourself and your family, how to order your drink and food in a Dutch restaurant and how to ask for directions. Dare to speak Dutch!
When you sign up for the online course, you will get:
i. access to an online learning environment (4 e-learnings).
ii. a weekly online coaching session with the other participants and myself on Zoom (4 Coaching Sessions, 1,5 hour each)
iii. a digital workbook (included in each e-learning).
iv. unlimited access to the exclusive Survival Dutch Academy account on Facebook, only accessible to members.

Survival Dutch for companies
Looking for an original way to give your employees a warm welcome to the Netherlands and your organization? Let them learn Dutch in a FUN way! For several years now, we have been providing Dutch classes (in-house and online) to international employees. We mainly focus on daily Dutch conversations and challenge the participants to enter into a conversation with each other and with their (Dutch) colleagues.
Brief overview:
i. Online (four weeks) or in-house (five weeks) training.
ii. Small groups, so there is plenty of opportunity to practice.
iii. Daily Dutch conversations (introducing yourself, ordering in a restaurant, emotions, etc.)
iv. A digital workbook to practice at home.
During an in-house training the final class consist of a field trip. Practice Dutch with the locals! The participants can order a drink and a portion of bitterballen…in Dutch, of course!

experiences of former participants
I really enjoyed the class. Because we were a small group, we were really supported individually and could learn very interactively and in conversation with each other. With the course, you learn the most important basics and can then actually apply them. We all got along really well and had a lot of fun. The field trip at the end was like a little family trip that broadened the horizon from what we had learned in the classroom and we got to know the city of Leiden from a "Dutch speaking" perspective.

Survival Dutch delivers exactly what it's name suggests: a fun and effective introduction to the culture and language. It quickly helps you survive when you have just arrived to The Netherlands, or if you have been here for a while like me. In the meantime, you might even make some friends along the way! I took some courses before this one, but this module helped me to speak more and to be less shy when speaking Dutch. Thank you for being so helpful and patient.
